Shaw Droker – President / CEO and founder of Global Computing

has been in the business of providing customer-focused computing technology for over 25 years. Shaw started his career in the world of computer technology as a programmer for a small startup company, Atlas Technology, which provided custom programming to Pacific Bell offices across the state of California. There he designed and coded office automation systems to route work orders and trouble tickets to technicians, tracking their progress. Shaw soon moved into technical/customer support for this growing company, until he reached the level of a top manager for the firm, helping lead Atlas to become a thriving business of over 40 employees.

Shaw’s next venture was as the Technical/Customer Support Manager for another startup technology company, called CAT-Links, which brought litigation support software and deposition transcript handling to law firms. Shaw was instrumental in helping grow the company to a national presence. Under Shaw’s guidance, the company earned wide acclaim for its service and support model.

In 1990, Shaw opened his own company, Global Consulting, from his bedroom using an old computer, an answering machine and some very fancy letterhead. He promised to deliver high-quality computer work to customers in the Orange County, CA area. He can still be found in the field from time to time keeping his hands in the machines and his knowledge of technology at a hands-on level.

Shaw’s dream for Global Consulting, and later Global Computing, remains focused on one goal: To be a company recognized for putting the customer first. Shaw prides himself on Global’s dedication to finding the right technology for a fair price for clients large and small. Everything Shaw does in life is for his family. He is the proud husband of Shelly, and even prouder father of two beautiful daughters, Kelsey and Sarah.

John Childs – Vice President of Global Computing

takes a leadership role in the day-to-day operations of this growing company. A seasoned Senior IS Manager with experience in the small- to medium-sized businesses sector, John has over twenty years of employee, technology and budget management experience, with the last five years spent formally performing Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity planning for local businesses. In addition, John has been responsible for Sarbanes Oxley IT audit and compliance, security assessments and negotiating best vendor agreements for various IT services.

John's experience in leading and managing enterprise level IT projects, as well as supporting inter/intradepartmental efforts and initiatives makes him a key player at Global Consulting. John is certified by Novell, Citrix, and Microsoft, and holds industry certifications in Business Contingency Planning, Security and the ITIL framework.

Shelly Droker – Secretary on the Board of Directors of Global Computing and Office Manager

Shelly serves as the head of our accounting department. Her extensive background in bookkeeping and accounting for large corporations and small for over 20 years includes work for a large restaurant chain and a nationwide call center. She is often the soothing voice our clients hear when they call into our offices and helps to promote our vision of keeping the customer first in our minds and hearts.

Shelly’s skills in raising the beautiful Kelsey and Sarah also serve her well when it comes to managing all aspects of her incredibly detail-intensive position at Global.

Mike Carter –Senior Hardware Analyst

has been with the company since 1997, and you had better believe we feel fortunate to be able to tap into his extensive experience in the assembly, testing and diagnosis of computers. While his work experience is wide and varied, Mike’s technology background prior to joining the Global Consulting team was primarily in computer manufacturing. Mike has been well trained in the area of computer specification consulting, hardware selection, assembly and installation of computers, components and peripherals, as well as diagnosis and repair of electronics. His skills also include systems operations and Windows / Operating System administration. Mike continues to be a dedicated and loyal employee for our organization, and he believes in Global’s vision of customer perception leading to customer satisfaction.

Shannon Gaffney – Microsoft MCSE

Shannon Gaffney is one of the newer members of the team at Global Consulting. He brings with him many years of customer service and technical training in both server and workstation support. Shannon was certified as an MCSE in 1998. His background in a variety of business technology situations makes him an extremely valuable asset to our clients.

Laura-Lee Fulton – One of Global Consulting’s first employees

Laura-Lee’s experience with high-end accounting practices and procedures brings a financial stability to our organization. Trained in large corporate work environments for many years, Laura-Lee has been a guiding force in our growth toward greater success as a company.
