Challenge: A major national law firm was in need of technology to drive its growing local staff as well as connect their offices in three other states.

Solution: Global Consulting provided the engineering, research, design and implementation of a Wide Area Network (WAN) that allowed all four offices and over 150 users to work together as if it were one office. Global also set up utilities to allow remote / traveling users the ability to connect and work from the road just as if they were sitting at their desks.

Remote access to Networks

Challenge: A worldwide manufacturer of construction components needed technology that would allow their users access to the corporate network from the road. (These remote users and other computers in offices throughout several other states also required immediate help desk support from technicians knowledgeable of their systems.)

Solution: Global Consulting set up VPN connectivity to allow all offices and remote users gain secure access to corporate computing resources and configured remote help desk support to allow our techs to work on computers as far away as Europe and China.

Home-Based Business

Challenge: A home-based business being run by a sole proprietor had a specific set of technical problems. Due to the company’s small size, there weren’t enough employees to handle the work when the owner was away on business.

Solution: Global Consulting delivered technology that allowed the owner to gain remote access to the home office computer so they could still work on shared data, even while traveling.

Spam Time-Wasting

Challenge: A large law firm with more than 100 users found that their employees were wasting many hours each day and millions of dollars per year due to having to manage the high volume of virus and spam email being received daily. (Simply deleting all of the unwanted email could take a user an hour every morning.)

Solution: Global Consulting reduced the inflow of unwanted email to the smallest trickle by implementing the law firm’s offsite spam and virus filtering service. Though designed for huge corporations the service is financially affordable for even the smallest of companies.
